Kristy has dedicated her career to children and families caught up in the legal system. Prior to working with Holmes Diggs, Kristy worked at Waco’s Children’s Advocacy Center and Harris County’s Office of the District Attorney, Child Abuse Division, where she worked closely with District Attorneys, Forensic Interviewers, CPS and law enforcement to address important and sensitive matters regarding the well-being of child victims and their families.
Kristy is a recent graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and excelled in advocacy. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Baylor University, with a focus on psychology. While at Thurgood Marshall, she was the Chief Justice for the school’s James M. Douglas Board of Advocates, an organization that showcases the school’s best advocates in internal advocacy competitions. She also represented her school at the National Black Law Student Association’s National Mock Trial Competition where her team placed fourth in the Nation, and at the American Bar Association Regional Labor and Employment Mock Trial Competition where her team took second place. She attained her Mediator’s Certificate through her course work at the Law School.
Kristy has worked with the firm as a Law Clerk since January, 2013. She recently sat for the Texas Bar, and she will continue to support the firm as a clerk while she awaits the results.
