Robert E. Holmes Jr.Robert E. Holmes Jr., the founder of Holmes, Diggs, Eames & Puhl, PLLC, is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is a member of the family section of the Dallas Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. Robert appeared on the Phil Donahue Show in 1984 after helping a birth mother recover the child she had relinquished to prospective adoptive parents. This case received both local and national attention. Since then, he has authored many articles on family law matters and has made a number of personal appearances on television and radio to discuss family law issues. Robert received his bachelor of arts, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1978, and his juris doctorate from Southern Methodist University in 1981. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas. In addition, he is a Certified Financial Planner. Cynthia T. DiggsCynthia T. Diggs is board certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, is a member of the family law sections of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice in state courts in Texas, as well as the U.S. District Courts in the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. She earned her juris doctorate from the University of Texas, where she was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review and a member of the Order of the Barristers. She represented the University of Texas School of Law as a member of its National Moot Court Team and National Mock Trial Team. Robert N. EamesRobert N. Eames, board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, holds undergraduate and juris doctorate degrees from Texas Tech, where he was a member of the first law school class in 1970. Bob, a long-time resident of Denton, has been active in local bar associations, including his prior service as president of the Denton County Bar Association. He has an avid interest in aviation, and also serves as a member of the Airport Advisory Board for the City of Denton. Bob was named in the Best Lawyers in America, 2003-2007, and continues to be selected each year as one of Texas' Super Lawyers by Texas Monthly. Michael R. PuhlMichael R. Puhl, a certified mediator, is a 1982 graduate of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and Illinois and before the United States Supreme Court. He is an active member of state and local bar associations and former president of the Plano Bar Association. In 2006 he was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Texas Board of Examiners for Marital & Family Therapists where he serves as chairman of its Rules Committee. He is also the Texas State Delegate in 2006 and 2007 to the national conference of the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards and the National Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation. He is a member of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation. Michael has long been active in education, presently serving as a board trustee for the McKinney Independent School District. In the past he has been chairman of the Plano Independent School District Lawyer-Youth Mentoring Program and chairman of the Allen, Frisco and McKinney High Schools "Now You Are 18" education program. Paul HewettPaul Hewett completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and he earned a Masters of Science in business administration from Texas A & M University. Paul received his juris doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University. Paul is a member of the family law section of the State Bar of Texas and the Collin County Frisco Bar Associations. Paul is active in the community as a member of both the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Frisco. Prior to joining the firm, Paul gained extensive experience working with the Texas Attorney General’s Office as an enforcement officer of the child support division. Tiffany L. HaertlingTiffany L. Haertling, is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Board of Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church. Tiffany is a member of the Denton Rotary, the United Way Campaign and was a participant in Leadership Denton. Earl JacksonEarl N. Angel J. BerbarieAngel J. Berbarie received her bachelor of science in political science from Texas A&M University, graduating cum laude, and as a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. She then went on to earn her juris doctorate from the University of Houston. In addition, she became a certified mediator through the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Institute. While attending law school, Angel was the charter secretary of the Texas Aggie Law Students Association, and she has now become a member of the State Bar of Texas and its sections in Family Law, Women and the Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Julie C. GuzzoJulie C. Guzzo earned her bachelor of science in psychology from Texas A&M University, graduating cum laude and as a member of the Psi Chi Honors Society and the Golden Key Honor Society. Thereafter, Julie earned her juris doctorate from the University of Houston.
